  • Acquisition of the Mother Tongue and Foreign Languages in Latvian Schools
  • Language Acquisition in Special Education
  • The Impact of Culture, Subculture and Value Orientation on Language Acquisition
  • Acquisition of the Latvian Language as a Foreign Language in Latvia and Abroad
  • The Language Environment in Latvia and the Importance of Citizens’ Linguistic Attitude in Language Acquisition
  • Standards, Programs and Description of Language Skill Levels for Language Acquisition
  • Use of IT in Contemporary Language Acquisition Process
  • The Status of Communicative and Linguistic Competences in the Labor Market
  • Disorders of Speech and Language, Their Correction, and Prevention

To participate in the conference as a listener (please, see application) - the application deadline is extended until May 11, 2021.

The conference will take place in e-platform. Information on how to participate will be sent week before the conference.

The length of the report at the plenary session is up to 20 minutes, during workshops – up to 15minutes

A conference proceedings “Language Acquisition: Problems and Perspective” (ISSN 1407-9739 (printed), ISSN 2661-5584 (digital)) will be published based on the presented reports in the conference:

The Conference Proceedings “Language Acquisition: Problems and Perspectives” is published once a year. If the editorial board rejects the article in the review process as either thematically or qualitatively inappropriate, the publication fee will not be refunded. The same applies in the case of authors’ withdrawing their manuscript.

For conference speakers: EUR 70.00 (in case the article has several authors, the participation fee for each author is EUR 35.00)

For conference speakers without a publication: EUR 15.00

For scientific article authors (without participation in the conference): EUR 55.00

For participants: EUR 15.00 (for Bachelor and Master programme students – EUR 5.00; for Doctoral programme students – EUR 10.00)

The payment includes:

  • for speakers – confirmation of participating at the conference, the scientific publication, conference materials
  • for speakers without a publication – confirmation of participating at the conference, conference materials
  • for participants/listeners – confirmation of participating at the conference, conference materials
  • for the authors of the publications who do not take part in the conference – the scientific publication
